Exciting news for those who support acupuncture: There is currently legislation in train in Congress to modify both the Medicare and the Federal Employees Health Benefits program to allow for reimbursement of services provided by qualified acupuncturists. It was referred to House Committees on Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means, and Government Oversight on 1/22/2009 for consideration. It is important that acupuncture supporters weigh in with their Congressional representatives to let them know how important this legislation is.

Exciting to see this morning that Tom Kertscher, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal, decided to cover the West Allis process for opening a new business, and mentioned Jing Well: http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/38748082.html. We’ll keep you posted on the process next week, after the vote.

West Allis officially recognized Jing Well Acupuncture & Natural Medicine as residing in Suite 203 of 8410 W. Cleveland Ave., by sending the occupancy permit. We’ve also submitted all the remaining paperwork for business use, so the practice is able to open its doors more officially. In the meantime, all the painting is done and the furniture is built, so patients can now feel comfortable in a fully stocked office offering acupuncture and Oriental medicine. We look forward to welcoming you to the practice.
